Drawing review in 3 working days, die layout in 5–8, tonnage and stage count calculated from projected area. Die steel, shrinkage, draft and tolerance stack fixed before the cavity is cut.
A new die set in 3–4 weeks from a released layout: rough milling, vacuum heat treatment, 5-axis finishing, EDM for closed cavities, try-out before the first article.
Hydraulic, bearing and control faults with symptom, cause and check order — plus the inspection sheet and control log that catch a stop before it happens.
